Do you prefer constructive criticism?

Question by eru_desu94: Do you prefer constructive criticism?
Do you like it when people and teachers comment on you writing negatively and put a big question mark next to a sentence?

For me it’s rather and “OUCH” then an “AW THANKS FOR THE TIP!”

it makes me feel like a bad writer….

and I the only one on this boat?

Even JK Rowlings gets constant critism for her writing. It is part of writing. If it is valid accept it and improve your writing. If it’s your bruised ego that’s in the way, your writing will never improve. And judging from the bad writing of your question, the critism is valid.

I don’t particularly like it, but if I think the advice is worth trying, I’ll do it. But, yeah I definitely know that “ouch!” feeling, and have that way more often than the other!

Would you prefer DESTRUCTIVE criticism of your Writings by your teachers? How ELSE are they going to point out where you need to improve your Writings? The POINT is, NOT to take their comments personally, but see them as trying to help you get things right… Teachers have to Correct ZILLIONS of Papers Every day…-So they don’t really have the time to be “gentle” about their Corrections…
