6. If your customer’s food is taking too long in the kitchen, visit your customer’s table and inform him that his dish is almost cooked and will be arriving shortly. If there is one thing diners hate it is waiting for their food for too long. Being nice to your customer at a time like this will make it hard for him to get angry with you. Before serving his food, check the order slip to make sure the food you are carrying matches with what your customer ordered.
