I’ts the first time in USA, we don’t use tip or gratuity in Europe.
In USA must give 15-20% tip, correct?
What happen if I dont leave tip?
The waiter gain only by tip or have a basic salary too?

Most servers make a base pay around or under $ 3/hr, Less than half of regular minimum wage.
Yes, most places you are expected to tip 20% for service that is satisfactory and that you have everything you asked for and needed. 15% percent for not so perfect service. and only 10% when there were lots of things wrong with your experience dining out.
If you do not tip you will make your server very angry, they will tell all the other servers, and they will remember when you return.
